Hopewell Music Ensembles

Who can join?

Hopewell Music ensembles are free and open to all members of the North Minneapolis community!  Note that due to COVID-19, some ensembles are rehearsing in a hybrid format while others are rehearsing virtually.  Please contact your ensemble instructor to confirm rehearsal location and schedules.  Learn more about our COVID response and how it affects ensembles here.

Vocal Ensembles

Hopewell Community Choir

Hopewell's Community Choir is open to singers of all ages and experience levels in the North Minneapolis area.  The Choir will rehearse starting September 27 at 7:00pm at Hopewell. Singers must be vaccinated and wear a mask at all times while at rehearsal. Hopewell will explore returning to Victory Care Center for rehearsals when it is safe to do so.  For more information please email our Choir Director, Jaette.

Community Orchestra

Our Community Orchestra makes orchestral music accessible to everyone. Hybrid format rehearsals for the Hopewell Orchestra will resume on September 27th at 5:30pm at Hopewell. All in-person participants must be vaccinated and wear a mask while at Hopewell. Registrants who plan to participate online will be able to join via zoom.  For more information please email our Orchestra Director, Ellie.


Jazz Ensemble

Established in December of 2013, the Hopewell Jazz Ensemble for students, community members and faculty who enjoy listening to and playing Jazz music. Hopewell's Jazz Ensemble will resume on September 27th at 6:30pm. Rehearsals will initially be online and will transition to in-person when it is safe to do so. For more information please email our Jazz ensemble director, Tamir


Flute Choir

Our Flute Choir is for intermediate and advanced flutists and offers many performance opportunities throughout the year. The ensemble includes the commonly known C flute, the piccolo, the alto flute, and the bass flute. Hopewell's flute choir is open to experienced flute players of all ages who are vaccinated. For more information please email our Flute Choir Director, Sarah.
